Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Snap website at https://snap-dock.co and the Snap desktop application (collectively, the "Service"), operated by Snap ("we," "us," or "our").

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

2. Account Registration

To access certain features, you must create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
  • Maintain the security of your password and account credentials.
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account.
  • Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe have been compromised.

3. The Service

3.1 Description

Snap is a floating developer dock application that provides tools for AI-assisted coding workflows, including but not limited to: smart screenshot capture with AI annotations, prompt optimization, voice input with transcription, custom action buttons, responsive preview windows, and console output capture.

3.2 Desktop Application

The Snap desktop application runs locally on your device. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the desktop application on devices you own or control, subject to these Terms and a valid subscription (if applicable).

3.3 Local Processing

Screenshots, prompts, voice recordings, console output, and other content you interact with through the desktop application are processed locally on your device. We do not transmit, access, or store this content on our servers. You are solely responsible for how you use and share content generated through the Service.

4. Subscriptions & Payments

4.1 Plans

The Service offers paid subscription plans. Paid plans provide access to additional features as described on our pricing page. Current paid plans include:

  • Pro Monthly — $4 per month, billed monthly.
  • Pro Annual — $36 per year ($3/month billed annually, save 25%).

We reserve the right to modify pricing at any time. Price changes will take effect at the start of your next billing cycle. We will notify you of any price changes in advance.

4.2 Billing & Auto-Renewal

Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annually, depending on your selected plan). Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date.

4.3 Payment Processing

All payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. By subscribing to a paid plan, you agree to Stripe's Terms of Service. We do not store your payment card details on our servers.

4.4 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account dashboard or the Stripe billing portal. Upon cancellation:

  • Your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period.
  • You will not be charged for subsequent billing periods.
  • No partial refunds are issued for unused time within a billing period.

4.5 Refunds

We do not offer refunds for subscription payments except where required by applicable law. If you believe you were charged in error, please contact us at snap@snap-dock.co within 14 days of the charge, and we will review your case.

5. License Keys

Paid subscribers receive a software license key to activate the Snap desktop application. License keys are:

  • Tied to your individual account and are non-transferable.
  • Valid only for the duration of your active subscription.
  • Not to be shared, resold, sublicensed, or distributed to third parties.

We reserve the right to revoke license keys in cases of abuse, unauthorized sharing, or violation of these Terms.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws or regulations.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code of the desktop application, except to the extent permitted by applicable law.
  • Modify, adapt, translate, or create derivative works based on the Service.
  • Remove, alter, or obscure any proprietary notices, labels, or marks on the Service.
  • Use the Service to infringe on the intellectual property rights of others.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service, other accounts, or connected systems.
  • Distribute malware, viruses, or other harmful code through or in connection with the Service.
  • Share, resell, or sublicense your account or license key to third parties.
  • Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Service in a manner that exceeds reasonable use.

7. Intellectual Property

7.1 Our Property

The Service, including the website, desktop application, branding, logos, documentation, and all related intellectual property, is owned by Snap and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any ownership rights in the Service.

7.2 Your Content

You retain ownership of all content you create or process using the Service (screenshots, prompts, transcriptions, etc.). Since this content is processed locally on your device, we do not claim any rights to it.

8. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with third-party services including Stripe (payments), Supabase (authentication and database), Google and GitHub (OAuth login), and Vercel (hosting and analytics). Your use of these third-party services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party service providers.

9. Availability & Modifications

We strive to keep the Service available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We reserve the right to:

  • Modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice.
  • Perform maintenance that may temporarily affect availability.
  • Update the desktop application, which may require you to install new versions.

We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of significant changes that materially affect your use of the Service.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE, THAT DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED, OR THAT THE SERVICE IS FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

THE SNAP DESKTOP APPLICATION INTERACTS WITH THIRD-PARTY AI TOOLS (SUCH AS CLAUDE, CURSOR, AND OTHERS). WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE OUTPUTS, ACCURACY, OR BEHAVIOR OF THESE THIRD-PARTY TOOLS.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL SNAP, ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE.

OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU HAVE PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100).

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Snap and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to:

  • Your use of the Service.
  • Your violation of these Terms.
  • Your violation of any rights of a third party.
  • Content you create, share, or process using the Service.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Upon termination:

  • Your right to use the Service and any associated license keys will immediately cease.
  • We may delete your account and associated data after a reasonable retention period (see our Privacy Policy).
  • Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including Sections 7, 10, 11, 12, and 14.

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us at snap@snap-dock.co.

14. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If the dispute cannot be resolved within 30 days, either party may submit the dispute to binding arbitration administered under the rules of the American Arbitration Association. The arbitration shall be conducted in English.

Notwithstanding the above, either party may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction to protect its intellectual property rights.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms at any time by posting an updated version on this page. Material changes will be communicated by updating the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, by notifying you via email or through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after the revised Terms are posted constitutes acceptance of the changes.

16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be enforced to the maximum extent permissible, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

17. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Snap regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements, understandings, and communications, whether written or oral.

18. Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of that right or provision. A waiver of any term shall only be effective if in writing and signed by Snap.
